Thanksgiving Day has officially ended, but sweet memories of the family gathered around the Thanksgiving table singing the Doxology, bowing our heads and our hearts in humble thanks to the Giver, will linger on in my heart.
Today people have gone back to their jobs -- the holiday is over -- but let us determine that we are going to make every day a day of Thanks-living! Psalm 150, the last Psalm in this marvelous book, speaks about praising our Lord. Prayer and Praise and Thanksgiving go together, so let's just praise the Lord and in everything give thanks!
"Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in the firmament of His power.
Praise Him for His mighty acts: praise Him according to His excellent greatness.
Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet: praise Him with the psaltery and harp.
Praise Him with the timbrel and dance: praise Him with stringed instruments and organs.
Praise Him upon the loud cymbals: praise Him upon the high sounding cymbals,
Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord."
