I Corinthians 12:27 says: "Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular."
Do you ever think you're not needed -- unimportant -- of little value? Well, according to the 12th chapter of I Corinthians, you are absolutely wrong!
The Apostle Paul shows us in this very interesting chapter that though our human body has many members, yet it is just one entire system; and every part or member is necessary to the completeness of the whole!
If just one small part of our body is hurt, our entire body suffers with it. If the eye, hand, or foot is injured, the whole man grieves.
As the members of the human body, so is the body of Christ. You -- yes, even you and me are necessary for the body of Christ to be whole and complete. Each one of us is necessary for the beauty, proportion, strength, and perfection of the whole. No one---absolutely no one---is useless, and no one is unnecessary!
You may not be the head, but you might make a wonderful foot! Remember -- 'God made the one and only you', and He needs you in His body!
Let us find our place of service, and work with the other members of the body to build up and preserve His Church until we hear Him say, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant"!
