. . . Praise is Comely

Psalm 33:1 says Praise is comely for the upright!
David said in Psalm 34:1:  "I will bless the Lord at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth."
Psalm 67:3 says that everyone should praise the Lord -- "Let the people praise Thee, O God; let all the people praise Thee."
Psalm 107:8 exhorts us:  "Oh that men would praise the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!"
Psalm 146:2 is a good testimony:  "While I live will I praise the Lord: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being."
Psalm 147:1 is a wonderful admonition:  "Praise ye the Lord: for it is good to sing praises unto our God: for it is pleasant; and praise is comely."

The last six Psalms are beautiful Psalms of praise to our God!  It seems that these Psalms are a crescendo -- the Psalmist keeps increasing his volume of praise, until the last Psalm is fairly bursting with praise unto our God!

The book of Isaiah speaks about the "garment of praise".  This is one garment that we should wear every day.  I'm afraid that sometimes we put on the garments of fault finding and criticism, rather than the garment of praise.

Let us take a look at these garments -- fault-finding and criticism are ugly and ill-fitting; while the garment of Praise is beautiful and pleasing to the hearer!  Praise brings glory to God, and encouragement to others!

Let us make sure that we have on this garment every moment of every day!!
