Yesterday was a blessed day in the house of the Lord, but today is Monday and we face again the burdens, difficulties, and cares of life that at times would seek to overwhelm us. How important it is for us to heed this blessed admonition from God's Holy Word -- "Be still, and know that I am God!"
Oswald Chambers has said:
"The busyness of things obscures our concentration on God. Let other things come and go as they will; let other people criticize us as they will; but never allow anything to obscure the life that "is hidden with Christ in God" (Colossians 3:3). Never let a hurried lifestyle disturb the relationship of abiding in Him."
The songwriter said:
"How oft in the conflict, when pressed by the foe,
I have fled to my Refuge and breathed out my woe!
How often, when trials like sea billows roll,
Have I hidden in Thee, O Thou Rock of my soul.
Hiding in Thee, hiding in Thee,
Thou blest Rock of Ages, I'm hiding in Thee!"
